An initiative of Brisbane City Council, Shade Cinema helps protect Brisbane residents with free movies screening on your mobile during peak UV periods. The app uses your phone s inbuilt light meter to tell if you re in the sun or not. Step into bright sunlight and the movie pauses until you move back into the shade. Choose from several new release blockbusters depending on which tree you re under, in effect turning the park into an open air multiplex cinema. That way you can continue to enjoy Brisbane s beautiful parks and gardens, without exposing your skin to the sun s harmful rays. PROUDLY PRESENTED BY BRISBANE CITY COUNCIL
